Cookies
[DRAFT — requires legal review] The RML website uses only necessary and functional cookies to ensure the website functions correctly, such as your checkout in the web store and storing selected settings. No analytics or advertising cookies are used on the website, in accordance with Art. 88(2) of the Telecommunications Act no. 70/2022.
1. What are cookies?
[DRAFT — requires legal review] Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser. They let the website remember you between pages and visits — for example that you are logged in, or which language you selected. Cookies cannot run programs or carry viruses to your device.
2. How does RML use cookies?
[DRAFT — requires legal review] The RML website uses only necessary and functional cookies. They keep track of your checkout in the web store, your language choice, and whether you have dismissed the cookie banner.
No analytics cookies (e.g. web statistics), advertising cookies, or third-party cookies are used on the website. No data about your browsing is sent to external parties.
An overview of all cookies used on the website is in the table at the bottom of this page.
3. How can you manage cookies?
[DRAFT — requires legal review] You can manage and delete cookies in your browser settings — all major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) let you view, block, or delete cookies for individual websites.
Note that if you block necessary cookies, parts of the website may stop working correctly, such as the shopping cart.
4. Local storage
[DRAFT — requires legal review] In addition to cookies, the RML website uses local storage (localStorage) in your browser to store the following information on your device:
rml_cart — the contents of your shopping cart.
checkout-info — saved checkout details (name, email, address and phone number). A kennitala (national ID) is never stored.
This information is stored only in your browser and is not sent to any third party.
